I would say if you have ice or frost on the windshield it would be best to let the car warm up for 10 minutes or so to help you clear the windshield.
Warming your car up especially in cold temperatures is a good idea as the oil is thicker than normal. 3 or four minutes should be sufficient to see the temp gage start to rise and you should be good to go.
if the temp outside is cold then let the engine warm up a few minutes before attempting to drive the car..... older cars like 98 and older tend to need warming up..
A cold wind should have no effect on the car engine.
Yes, in fact it will almost always warm up quicker while driving.
cold. If you open the radiator when the car is hot, it can spray all over the place.
It does not make a difference if the car is hot or cold when you add brake fluid.
Global warming:)
40f - 45f is great
Generally, there are two levels on a dipstick. With the car level and the engine hot, the fluid should be up to the "hot" mark. With the car level and cold, it should be to the cold mark.
Your car will idle high until the engine begins to warm. You could set the idle to be a bit lower, but that may cause the engine to stall out when it's cold out. The engine should begin to lower the RPMs when it is warmed up.
the sun
??? All i would suggest is warming up the car for a longer time then u have been. It could very possibly be from general wear and tear.
