Trying to gauge the "collectability" of a car is always difficult unless it is a very limited production run (think 2007 Roush Blackjack). The Bullitt has a few things going for it however. First off, the production is limited to 7700 (7000 for the US and 700 for Canada, spread over 2008 & 2009). Secondly, it is more than just a body kit, there are engine, suspension and interior tweaks that put it above a standard Mustang GT. Thirdly and I think most importantly, it seems to be the standard on which the 05-09 Mustangs are judged. (The 2010 GT uses the Bullitt as the basis for its redesign.) Other than those points, it will depend greatly on the condition of your car, the availability of similar models and overall collector trends in the 15 to 20 years it will take to reach collector status. Here's to hoping that they become very collectable, I have a 2008 DHG Bullitt.
