first you need to get azelf from the lake you know when you are in canalave city? and you come out of the library because there was an "earthquake" (that was really a galactic bomb by the way) you then, if you have staraptor fly to veilstone city and go to the lake with azelf in it you catch azelf go out and then where the man was he is not there any more so you can go all the way to sunnyshore city, i hope this helped! elimac3

answer + more u need to get all gym badges except sunyshore city's. then u go to spear pillar from mt. coronet and battle commander mars & jupiter. then u battle the boss and diagla/palkia. then u go to lake valor cavern after u rescue prof. rowan at lake verity go to the cavern and azelf will be there dratini evolves at level 30 i think. dragonair evolves at 55.

Azelf is in Lake Valor but,you must have faced Dialga to find it.If you have used your masterball already then I would say you may want an Action Reply Chip or Gameshark cheating device to get unlimited masterballs.If you do not have one,borrow one fro your friends.If you can't or none of your friends play video games or do not have a Action Reply Chip,do not despare.Try to stock up on as many different kinds of pokeballs and as many of them as possible.I would use the ball that gets stronger the longer the battle goes and save your game right before Fasing Azelf just incase you kill it or run out of pokeballs so you can just turn the game off.You can clone Azelf by putting it in the daycare center with a Ditto.Good luck.

Can you catch Uxie and Azelf without catching Mesperit?
yes you can. I've tried to catch mesprit but instead I caught Uxie in the Aucurity cavern and Azelf in valor lake front where team galactic was. It's really easy just decrease the HP as low as possible and I used a dusk ball. when the ball glows yellow rub the screen with the pen in the ds as hard (but not to hard) and as fast as possible. How do you catch all three of the legendary lake Pokemon in Pokemon diamond?
first you head for uxie. lake acuity. use strog moves first, then weaker ones to ease the little bugger into a one-hp situation. use Pokemon that can hold on for a long time. then whack a timer ball or ultra ball, or even better, master ball, at it. then azelf. lake valor. same thing, but he's a little more pesky. use slightly weaker moves. then the most complicated. mesprit. the little idiot runs and runs. you use dugtrio, wobbuffet, or a fast Pokemon with mean look. then make sure it doesn't get away by using quick moves. or a quick ball or master works. i caught uxie in an ultra ball, mesprit in a quick ball and i defeated azelf. :( but try and you will get those pesky critters.

Lake Valor, Lake Acuity and Lake Verity ... Simple Lake Verity, Lake Valor and Lake Acuity, also for advice there is a fourth lake which is kept secret and is not known until you get the national pokedex. The fourth lake is called spring path. Also to get the national pokedex you need to know every Pokemon in the sinnoh pokedex (You can include Manaphy but you don't need his data for the national pokedex). To get Manaphy you must get the manaphy mission on Pokemon ranger in the ranger net. Also because I am a helpful guy and a Pokemon fan that couldn't imange a world without Pokemon I am allowing more information. Get : Garatina from Spring path, He is level 70 Uxie from Lake Acuity, He is level 50 Mespirit from Lake Verity, She is Level 50 Azelf from Lake Verity, He is also Level 50. Last bit of advice Mespirit flys out of the cave when you go to Lake Verity so when you go to her she will fly away and you will need the Poketech icon ''Marking Map'' so that you know what part of Sinnoh she is hiding. If you use Fly by the way Mespirit will fly somewhere else in Sinnoh, So keep your Honchkrow's fly for battling Mespirit. And when you find Mespirit beware, She will flee if you don't catch her as soon as you find her so you must know Mean Look or Block.
