How come humans love all other animals?

Unfortunately, humans don't love all the other animals. Some animals, like dogs and horses, are well regarded and protected in the United States; in southeast Asia, dogs are considered pests and there are slaughter houses that kill and process stray dogs to sell as meat for human consumption. Other animals, like wolves and tigers, are regarded as dangerous to humans and have been hunted almost to extinction. Still other animals, like the common house fly, are killed whenever humans can manage it because they are seen as a nuisance pest with no value to the ecosystem or to humans.
