I checked the contributions of this asker, and at least 2 questions were in fact deleted by supervisors. One was the question, "Who can trust you?" The problem there is that it cannot be answered since there is not enough information. Some might see that as an attempt to use questions for chatting.
The other question may come across as sort of a polling type question and asks about something for which no statistics are available. I see it as a valid question, since it is asking about the validity of jokes that stereotype a whole group of people. Now, the way it is worded, a super might mistake it as being in support of such jokes. That is not to criticize whatever supervisor involved since others may likely interpret it the same way, and the supervisors have a role of keeping content others may find offensive off of the site.
Of course, in general the types of questions that get deleted usually include cyberbullying, questions that cannot be answered, inappropriate subject matter or requests for such, crime instruction, suicide instruction, questions asking where to find porn sites, questions about getting around firewalls, questions asking for software cracks, and nonsense questions that add no value to the site.
Unfortunately not all questions that are asked are good questions some need to be trashed, that is why there are supervisors. It might be because they might not have enough information to answer or that they just are not appropriate for WikiAnswers.
No, because their is no possibility of deleting history questions.
Probably because questions like that are meaningless ! Questions such as those are often trashed by us supervisors, because they add no value to this site.
"Featured" questions are unanswered questions that Supervisors feel are interesting or important; it gives them more visibility, perhaps because they have remained unanswered for a long time.
because in deleting worksheet it is contraceptive but logicallyis this answer can help u? click answersAnswers
We as supervisors will often protect questions because they have turned into debates and do not belong in the mainstream of the site but moreso in a forum.
No, only supervisors can remove questions off of the site by trashing them which hides them from regular users of the site. Supervisors are only allowed to trash inappropriate questions or questions that do not have enough information to be answered so just because you don't want your question on the site anymore does not mean it can be removed. Only questions that contain personal information in them qualify to be permanently deleted off of the site.
Supervisors have the power to 'trash' questions and every signed in user has the ability to edit and improve questions and answers. So if you think a question can be worded better, edit it! If you think an answer should be deleted because it is nonsense, spam, or vandalism, remove it! Flagging is a tool that allows anyone to alert Community Assistants and Supervisors to questions that need reverting and trashing.
Mostly because the vandals outnumber supervisors who are watching by a large margin. Most supervisors who are on the site at any given time are working on specific projects/tasks, in their own categories, or otherwise simply dealing with questions and answers that are not current. Still, a great many vandals do get blocked, and the more questions someone vandalizes the better chance a supervisor has of catching them.
No, unless you are a supervisor enrolled in the SPA program. Most Special Project Assistants are only normal contributors and can not lock questions because this is a feature only supervisors can do.
Changing the way questions are worded is a tool only given to "Trusted Contributors". This is because sometimes questions may require merging, splitting, and other advanced things done to them. To become a "Trusted Contributor" you need to demonstrate your commitment and knowledge of all the sites tools.
Because when people answer their own questions, we know that he or she is more than likely knowledgeable about their question (sometimes people make questions to just answer their own). Supervisors are encouraged to do this so that we can have more-and-more questions on the site flowing around (of course answered through this method).
