On WikiAnswers you have to keep in mind that we are an international website, so not everyone who will visit this site's first language will be English. Also some people just have bad grammar. Some questions make sense in the asker's mind when they are asking it, but to a mind like you or me will make no sense at all. This is when questions are deleted from the site. We have different divisions of our volunteers for different tasks specific to poorly phrased questions, deleting questions and questions that add no value to WikiAnswers. If you find one of these questions feel free to report it. We do not try to keep these people away from WikiAnswers we try to encourage and help them to ask questions that can be answered easily, only vandals will be blocked from the website.

First, what you (or I) might think is a stupid question could make perfect sense to someone else; for that reason, those of us who answer questions regularly try to take even the strange questions and give them a serious answer, if possible. But regarding the questions that look like they make no sense at all, there are actually some good reasons why this may occur. Some are sent to us by people who do not speak English as their first language, so the question might be very difficult to understand or have lots of words spelled wrong. We also get some questions from kids, and they might think they are being clever (or funny) by asking about a subject in a very crude way. But given the thousands and thousands of questions we receive, I think the vast majority are interesting questions, and it's actually fun to answer them.
