How could you explain to someone that once liked you that you surrender and you won't make the same blunders anymore?

Surrender is the wrong term and carries the wrong meaning. They are not attacking you. You apparantly did something wrong or offended the person. All you can do is admit to doing it and ask them to forgive you. How you do this and how hard you sell it depends on how bad a mistake you made. All you can do is make the effort and see what happens. You have to mean it or at least appear to mean it.
I know what I did was (pick one) wrong, stupid, mean, ignorant, senseless, uncaring and I'm sorry I did it. I hope you can forgive me at some point. Leave it at that and see if they do.

Before you surrender to someone that does not like you it is important you know why they don't. If you feel you were right in any action you took then you should stand your ground and not surrender. Having to 'give in' or surrender just to keep a friend then that person is not a friend at all. If you had a falling out the mature thing to do is try to talk to that person face-to-face and deal with the problem at hand in hopes you will pick up your friendship again.
