---- coral reefs are destroyed by dynamite or cyanide fishing.
Adroid the many coral reefs
Cyanide fishing, Dynamite fishing and "Muro-ami" can also cause Coral Reefs Destruction due to chemicals that are involved in these types of fishing.
I know 3 factors that can damage the Coral Reefs! 1.Dinamite Fishing 2.Muro Ami Fishing 3.Cyanide Fishing ☺☻☺☻THATS ALL!☺☻☺☻
they over fish so the coral reefs dead
practice that truly destructs our coral reefs is dynamite fishing.
Fishing
Fishing and polution.
yes because certain types of fish are in coral reefs all across the world
Dynamite fishing, coral hunting, pollution, and over-fishing just to name a few.
Touching Reefs, even slightly, can harm them. Boats and dropped anchors can cause severe damage to these fragile ecosystems. Frequent human contact kills the reefs over time. Silt from eroded soil in runoff water can block sunlight. Without sunlight, photosynthesis does not occur and reefs gradually die. Untreated or improperly treated sewage promotes the growth of algae, which harms coral reefs. Some fishermen stun fish by squirting cyanide, a very toxic poison, into reef areas where fish seek refuge. The poison does not kill, but disorients the fish in the coral where they hide. The fisherman then rip apart the reefs with crowbars to capture the fish. In addition, cyanide kills coral polyps and the symbiotic algae and other small organisms necessary for healthy reefs. Cyanide fishing is common in the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. Fertilizer runoff, pesticides and other chemicals can poison reefs, as well as shock waves from blast fishing. When scuba diving or snorkeling in waters near the reefs, the divers/snorkelers are not allowed to go in the water if they have any kind of sunscreen or suntan oil on their skin.
Coral reefs are economically important for a variety of reasons. They bring in tons of tourists. They are great fishing locations. Also, coral reefs are wonderful places for pharmaceutical companies to search for new medicines.
