Most states I believe no darker than 22% on the front windows, the side windows for the back seats as dark as you want them, the rear window 22%. The reasoning is, police officers need to be able to see the occupants through the back window, and front side windows.

How can window tints be used?

Window tints are films made of layers of thin sheets designed to give additional protection and security to cars and homes. Window tints can come in different types of colors, patterns and designs. Some window tints are specifically designed for privacy and some are for simply to blocking out UV rays of the sun. They also reduce solar and headlight glare, provide better insulation, and create better visual appeal. Car window tints are usually thin and flexible, allowing them to follow the contours of the windows. Car window tints have certain legal restrictions that vary from state to state. For example, in Maryland, front side windows must allow more than 35% of light in, while in Virginia it should be more than 50%. One must refer to the state's laws regarding tinting before getting their car windows tinted. Choose a film that would suit your car color while giving you plenty of visibility from the inside. You should also avoid tinting your windshield heavily, as you will also be driving during the night. Window tints for flat windows are usually a little bit thicker than automotive films. When buying window tints for your home, you should get one that will compliment the exterior paint of your house. Not only will tinting give you the privacy you need inside your home, it will also make your home look modern and elegant. Tints for the home can also be used on glass doors and partitions. The best quality window tints are offered by well-known brands like Llumar, SolarGard, and ASWF. These window tints shops provide films made of high grade materials that are of superior quality. They also offer installation services. Contact and consult any car detailing or window tinting company for more information about window tints.
