This is a very open question. It depends on where your fishing, what species your fishing for, and he time of day. If you are not fishing for any species in particular, about mid Howerday, in a decent sized pond or lake then I would set your bobber anywhere 3 1/2 feet-6feet(depending on how clean the water is and how little debris there s in the water). If you are Fishing early morning or late late afternoon I would suggest setting it a little shallower just because that is the time of day when the fish come near the top of the water. With bobber fishing you usually set the water deeper for hotter weather and more shallow for cooler weather. However if you are freshwater fishing the deeper you set your bobber the more likely it will be that you will catch a catfish. I personally don't like catching these due to their sharp whiskers and likely ness that they will break your line. hope this helps if not maybe someone else will update with more info
A fishing lure is used to catch a fish. It is usually metal or wood with a treble hook or a set of them. They vary in color, shape, size, etc. The bobber is a floating strike indicator used when you want to "float" a baited hook or lure.

In order to fish you would need a fishing pole, bait and hooks. The line on the fishing pole should also have a bobber in order to tell if there is a fish on the line.
Deep sea fishing fishing far out at sea is called deep sea fishing .
a fishing rod and hook with line and bait is necessary you also might need a bobber.
it is a method of fishing for big catfish, primarily. The "jug" acts as a big bobber. A hay hook is sharpened, and baited with a big chunk of spoiled meat. Comonly several jugs are set out, all tied toether at intervals by their handles. This is done in the early evening, and they are checked the next morning.
While holding a fishing rod, right click to cast the line and right click again when the bobber dips.
First, you need a fishing pole. I think you can get one from the fisher guy. He is by the beach. Then, you have to get close to the area where you want to fish. Once you get there, a blue fish icon will pop up in the top left corner. Tap on that and you start to fish! Now for catching. When you start to fish you can move the bobber around the water. You will notice that music starts to play. That can sometimes help you. If a fish goes directly over to your bobber and lands on it, you can rapidly tap the bobber with you stylus(stick) and catch the fish! If you don't want that fish, you can wait for another one to come. I hope I helped!
You want to try to determine the depth of the fish to determine where to set your bobber. If the sun is high up in the sky, the fish are generally looking at the bottom to eat. So you would want to try to get the bobber as close to the bottom as possible. If the fish are cruising, usually in the mornings and evenings, you can set the bobber at about 4-5 feet. They are looking up and down for food, and are usually actively feeding around these times. Once it gets cloudy out, you can usually put it about 1-2 feet above your hook. This will let the fish cruising by look up at your bait without getting blinded by the sun.
