There is nothing new about slaving our fellow humans. It is still practiced in some parts of Africa, and was only outlawed in the middle 1960's in Saudi Arabia. Our Amer-Indian tribes also practiced the fashion, including the Cherokees in Oklahoma, who sided with the Confederacy over this issue. for more details, look up 'Stande Waite'.
