How did Benjamin Franklin help the Patriots?

Benjamin Franklin helped in many ways including convincing French to help the U.S. One of his largest helps to the Americans was his part in the Treaty of Paris, which ends the Revolution, the U.S. gained independence, British recognizes U.S. as a nation and the U.S. aquires land east of the Mississippi River.

Benjamin Franklin was the ambassador sent by the Americans to ask France for help. He was successful. France ended up helping the Patriot cause even more than the other European countries. He also helped write the Declaration of Independence.
