Here only a few things to be considered:

First American Holiday is Thanksgiving, even today is the most relevant... The first thirteen states were developed with a very marked Christianity atmosphere (read old docs) , NJ and Philadelphia of Sir William Penn (Read this story)... First successful law for a state was from The Bible in Massachusetts. Harvard University was founded by John Harvard... Yale University with the help and influence of Jeremiah Dummer (It should be named Dummer University), he made Elihu Yale and Isaac newton two of his most important supporters... Newton science ... Blaise Pascal created the base for the computer that so basic for the US today and the world... Switzerland invented the Internet that US owns now (Read about the story of this small country and you're going to be shocked), they created the limit for the sea that corresponds to a coast-country, they at the end created the democracy system of the present time where you can live with freedom and go to the poll to pick a president and congressmen, they put the rules to war, has been the richest country in the world for a while, and US, including the whole world have been benefited with pencil-tip-size country... The slavery abolition, the independence and constitution were base on Christianity, capitalism, extraordinary justice, Churches in everywhere, creation of hospitals, Universities, colleges, schools, non-profit institutions like YMCA and a lot more...

In time of health crisis like plagues and insanity (when the sound ones feared to be contagiated), casualties and injured people in time of war, Christians have taken an important place. Without Christians to be present In the funeral of those who die, the American folk would straggle to step ahead!

Rarely one of the inventors that have brought development to US was out of the christian church... Discovery of sound waves and Invention of the radio, Steam Machine, Ship, TV, Phone, airplane, computer, trains, cars, electricity, power, glasses, general science, medicine, vaccines, international trading... What else?

The most famous personalities and wealthiest commonly are coming from a christian family, politicians, businessmen, artists, singers, etc. The US is the one with the biggest population of Christians registered in a church membership.

A lot of things more that deserve certain time of reading have taken part in the events and history of the US, I hope you have time to separate a reading moment to learn more about it.
