Frida begins just before the traumatic accident Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek) suffered at the age of 18 when a trolley bus collided with a motor bus she was riding. She is impaled by a metal pole and the injuries she sustained plague her for the rest of her life. To help her through convalescence, her father brings her a canvas upon which to start painting. There isn't a national association for women drivers. There are however other organizations that not only help women drivers, but just simply help drivers in general.
This is a very vague question because Frieda Kahlo painted numerous paintings. She has painted themes that vary from personal all the way to political. Kahlo painted many self portraits which express an "intimate" side of the artist. In other paintings she would address political topics or gender roles. For example in her marriage portrait, "Frieda and Diego Rivera", she clearly expresses gender roles. Frieda both accepts and rejects the roles which she had to follow in the 1930's society. One way she accepts gender roles is by portraying herself in a "submissive" manner to her husband, showing herself as a devoted wife to him. One way she rejects gender roles is the placement of the dove in the painting, which announces that she is a professional and independent woman artist.

It goes back in time when wealthy people had butlers, and maids to help them to dress: men normally dressed themselves but ladies had other women to help them dress and women naturally had clothing buttons reversed to help maids clothe them. And, the tradition continues to this day with the reversed buttons on women's clothing.
