Washington was president from 1789 to 1797 and died in 1799, so he would have had extremely significant difficulty doing anything during the Civil War that occurred from 1861 to 1865.

he fought in the crossing of the Delaware river where he fought the Hessian army (best army in the world at that time) and suceded. he also didn't die in any of his battles and survived long enough to become the first us president

He went to Europe and asked the french for help in the war. they said yes and called the australians, who called the mexicans. the mexicans through burritos at the british causing them to eat it and have extreme diareah causing disease and eventually winning the war for america.
