Judicial murder is how Henry VIII got rid of Anne Boleyn. Essentially Thomas Cromwell drew up charges against he which were more than likely false due to the fact that even though Catherine of Aragon had died, the powers on the continent still would not recognize Elizabeth as a legitimateheir, and Anne had miscarried 2 more children since Elizabeth in the short time they had been married and so he felt as though there was something that had to be wrong with his marriage to Anne as there was with his Marriage to Catherine, or it could have been that He wanted to marry Jane Seymour and as Anne was his subject it was easier to behead her than it would be to start a lengthy annulment process as he did with Catherine because in Catherine's case she had powerful relatives such as the Holy Roman Emperor of which Henry would have had to deal with if she were done away with in same fashion. Interestingly enough, the two wives of which he did behead were both his subjects, and did not have relations in power outside of England, Catherine Parr his last wife almost went to the scaffold as well, the only thing that saved her was that Henry had a change of heart right before the arrestwarrantwas to be served.

She was charged with treason, tried, found guilty, and executed on the block. Anne requested a sword rather than an axe. Her request was granted and she was beheaded.

Why did King Henry VIII break away from the Catholic Church in 1533?

I think Henry broke from the catholic church in 1536 not in 1533; however in any event, Henry broke from the church so that he could innul his marriage to Catherine of Aragon and marry Anne Boleyn. The Catholic church would not agree that Henry's marriage to Catherine warranted innulement whereas Henry insisted it did because he did not want to be married to Catherine anymore (since she could not produce a male heir) and since Henry wanted to marry Anne Bolelyn. ALSO the grounds that he wanted to divorce Catherine was because she was married to his brother Arthur but Henry married her so that she wasn't a young widow... she claimed that they never consummated the marriage (sex).

How did Henry VIII dump anne Boleyn?

Henry VIII got rid of Anne Boleyn by means of beheading. Beheading in those days was the punishment for a queen consort who was found guilty for treason. In Anne's case, she was found guilty (though many both back then and even in this day believe the charges to be false) for charges of adultery and incest.

Why did Anne Boleyn decide to pursue Henry VIII?

I rather think that Henry pursued her! Anne, however, was smart enough to know that being Henry's mistress would lead nowhere and she insisted that she and Henry marry. Henry was sufficiently besotted with her that he almost literally moved heaven and earth to make that happen. The process took a long time - Henry had to rid himself of his first queen, Katherine of Aragon - before he was at liberty to marry Anne. The result was great upheavel in England in terms of religion, divorce and banishment of Katherine, marriage with Anne and her subsequent execution on the block. Anne produced no sons but did give birth to Elizabeth who became Queen Elizabeth I.
