The Empire of Japan, at that time,Êrealized that it can makeÊitself into a major world power through it's technological improvements in industrialization. But in order to do become that, Japan needed first to overcome its Asian neighbors and at the same time take control of their vast Natural Resources. The only way to achieveÊthat was to use overwhelming military force.
