I know Greece and Italy influenced most of Europe with its romantic architechture, you can see hints of it in french and spanish. And christian traditions spread through Europe after the arabs moved west. and then the romans inveloped christian tradition instead of using their own polytheistic theocracy. Most of Europe considered it to be a huge trend and made that the national religion of most of the countries. Then the europeans turned on the people who gave them Christianity in the first place during the crusades because the muslims were affended.
