∙ 12y agoThe religion of Islam was spread first in Arabia because its intellectual, peaceful, socially humanitarian and largely egalitarian message won the minds and hearts of the people. After the death of the Prophet Muhammad, a number of wars, all in self defense expanded the borders of the Islamic Empire. However, though many believe that the people living under Muslim rule were forced to accept Islam or pay extra taxes, the fact is, in accordance with the Quran 2:256, "There is no compulsion in religion", there was religious freedom in the Islamic Empire. The tax known as "Jizya" was in lieu of mandatory military service that Muslims had to participate in; instead of this service, non-Muslims could pay the tax.
The Last Prophet of Allah Mohammad' process by which Muslims call others to Allah. It is done by all Prophets and Messengers of Allah like Mohammad, Abraham, Jesus, Moses etc. Since Muhammed (May Allah's peace upon him and His blessings) is the final Prophet and Messenger, it becomes a duty on every Muslim to invite and call people to Allah.
