Otto Frank and his family were Jewish. Before Nazis came, Frank family lived prosperously. They were quite rich. Otto Frank gave Anne Frank a diary on her birthday. Since that time on, Anne Frank wrote her daily life in her diary.
Then, the disaster came. Nazis, which led by Adolf Hitler, hated Jewish. They wanted to kill Jewish until they vanished. They brought Jewish to concentration camp, the place where Jewish would suffer to death because of famine or diseases. Otto Frank and the rest of his family (and friends) hid in their house in "secret annex", a room with a door behind a bookcase. They thought Nazis wouldn't find them, but Nazis did. Nazis brought Frank family and their friends to concentration camp. All of Frank family died except for Otto Frank. After the Germany surrendered because they lost, the Jewish were free. Otto went back to Amsterdam and found his daughter's diary. He established Anne's diary and it became one of the most popular book ever.
