confer: the King James Version Bible .

Saint Samuel and four companions were Egyptians who visited Christians condemned to do hard labor in the mines during persecutions, to comfort them. They were arrested for this, tortured and beheaded. This is a basic short version. My son is named after ST. Samuel ...St. Samuel was born to Christian parents. His father was a holy priest named Silas and his mother's name was Ksimany. St. Samuel's parents were very rich and gave most of their money to the poor. Their door was continually open to the needy. For a long time they remained without children, but prayed continuously that God would send them a child. Finally, God answered their prayers and gave them St. Samuel in the year 598 A.D. St. Samuels' parents raised him in the love of God. When St. Samuel reached the age of 12, his father ordained him as a deacon. St. Samuel used to fast every day until sunset, prayed a great deal, and never ate meat or drank alcohol. His parents wanted to find him a wife, but St. Samuel refused and opted to devote his life to God.
