First, Samuel Adams had nothing to do with the Boston Tea Party. Second, the ships were British and no one "got them." There is also a misunderstanding on why the party happened. The British had LOWERED the tax on tea which made the tea smuggled into the colonies a higher price tea. This was an economic issue and the "party" wasn't a planned event. It just happened.

No one. This is one of the myths of our history. There was no organization or planning for it. A group of people were in a pub and talking about the tea tax. Someone said that they should go to the ships and throw the tea overboard. Everyone thought it was a good idea, so they left, some picked up things to disguise themselves, and they found 3 tea ships at anchor. The boarded them, knocked one Capt. down, and threw the tea overboard.

Did Samuel Adams organize the Boston tea party?

No one organized it. That is one of the great legends of our nation. What really happened was a group of people ( some may have been Sons of Liberty) were in one of the pubs and they were complaining about the tax on tea and the East Indian company. Some one suggested that they go dump the tea in the harbor, so they decided to meet at the docks. A few went home and dressed up as Indians and picked up a hatchet or two. They boarded 3 ships and threw the chests of tea overboard into Boston Harbor.
