Did Samuel Adams organize the Boston tea party?

No one organized it. That is one of the great legends of our nation. What really happened was a group of people ( some may have been Sons of Liberty) were in one of the pubs and they were complaining about the tax on tea and the East Indian company. Some one suggested that they go dump the tea in the harbor, so they decided to meet at the docks. A few went home and dressed up as Indians and picked up a hatchet or two. They boarded 3 ships and threw the chests of tea overboard into Boston Harbor.

No. The legend of the Boston Tea party has him with a part, but he didn't have anything to do with it. Actually, the entire story about it is not correct. The British didn't raise the tea tax, but LOWERED it. The result was the men who smuggled Dutch tea into the colonies were upset because this would mean the cost of their tea would be higher than the British. The British were trying to put a stop to the smuggling that took place. One of the men involved with smuggling Dutch tea was Hamilton so if anyone took part it would have been him.
