President Woodrow Wilson was a peacemaker, and advocated for international dialogue in place of militarism. He is known his peace proposition for the World War I countries titled 'the 14 points'.
His also was an advocate of the League of Nations and tried to convince the US Senate to join this international peace organization.
He did not change it as much as he would liked. but the abandonment of US neutrality with the entry of the US into World War I was the first time that US troops were sent to Europe. Wilson made it easier for Roosevelt to get the US into the second world war and the ensuing continuous military activity all over the world ever since.
Wilson tried to follow a policy of neutrality in the war that was going on in Europe.
