Yellowfang did not blind Brokenstar. It was actually the collapse of the dirt tunnel that Nightstar was digging that severely injured Brokenstar and caused him to lose his eyesight. Yellowfang, who was Brokenstar's mother, later played a role in his downfall.

Yellowfang originally blinded Brokenstar, and he was held in ThunderClan camp as a prisoner. When he betrayed the Clan by bringing his rogues in for an attack, Yellowfang killed him by feeding him poisinous deathberries.
How does Brokenstar die?
Brokentail murdered his father Raggedstar to become leader. He blames it on Yellowfang and sends her into exile. She then becomes medicine cat of Thunderclan. After Brokenstar gets driven out of his clan, he goes and attacks Thunderclan. Brokenstar goes after Yellowfang but Yellowfang cut his eyes, making him blind. Then, as a prisoner, Tigerclaws rouges attack Thunderclan with Brokentail attacking too. Then, after the battle, Yellowfang kills Brokentail, feeding him deathberries because he was to dangerous to have around anymore.

yellowfang is his mate there son was brokenstar and they had two Daughters that were not named. raggerdstar was the old shadow clan leader but was murderd by his own son. when raggedstar died brokenstar came leader and kiked this mother (yellowfang) out of the clan. then she joined thunder clan and when spottedleaf died she became the new Medicine Cat. and i think she killed brokenstar by feeding him somthing deadly.
Why did Brokenstar exiled Yellowfang from ShadowClan?
Brokenstar exiled Yellowfang from ShadowClan because she opposed his cruel methods of leading the Clan, which included training kits too early and driving out the elderly and weak cats. Yellowfang's strong sense of justice and refusal to support Brokenstar's actions led to her exile.
