How did children have their lunches wrapped as an evacuee in World War 2?

During the evacuations of WW2 children would often have their food wrapped in the same wrapping as their other belongings, due to the shortage of materials during the war. This would mean that whatever food the children were even able to bring would often be wrapped in paper, or similar materials

They had to take a packed lunch with them mainly containing Sandwiches,apple,barley sugar and biscuits,

When they stayed at a house after being evacuated they ate mainly what they had eaten at home. But it depended if the Family were wealthy or a bit poor. of course food was rationed so there wasn't any sweets and not much fruit either.

In Britain, Australia, New Zealand and the US the children had in their lunch pail or box whatever their parents could get under the rationing program or from farmers. They had a very strict bread/flour rationing even for the children. So they did not have a sandwich everyday. They had whatever fruit, bread, meat, snack, cheese, or hard boiled egg their parents could get from day to day. The farm kids had it better because they could grow their own food, raise livestock and buy things on the rationing program too. The kids were provided with more on their rationing cards because the Ministry of Health and Department of (oh now I forgot what it was called in the US, won't come to my mind) determined kids had to have enough of dairy, meat, vegetables, fruit and grain products to grow properly and to learn in school. They also realized the kids did have to take food with them for school. (I heard from my Aunt that they did come up with the school lunch program around that time but not all schools had them. This was in the United States. The program expanded and became the norm in later decades. She said the food was awful and she took food to school instead.)
