It affected them in many ways, since the climate is so dry and hot, they rarely got rain. Which would leave them with out water for days or longer. Also since its so hot, dry, and has no water the crops die which means no food either. to get water they had to build irrigation systems in the ground to get the water from the earth.

Ghey had really crazy climate so they had to know if there was going to be a flood they neede to act on it if there was a drought they had to collect on water also because they had to know when to plant there crops and it was hard
