This depends upon the reference to which enslaved men and women. Most people, while enslaved develop one of two attitudes. They either accept the circumstance and look for the best way to survive it, or they deny the legitimacy of it and look for a way out. Once enough of the population take the latter of these opinions, they will often band together. A plot will be drawn to emancipate themselves and others in the circumstance. In America, this came through the collaboration with non-slave owners who were partial to the cause and helped change the course.

Why was it difficult for enslaved African women to have children?

It was not a huge problem for enslaved women to have children, except that hard work, poor nutrition and no medical care must have taken a terrible toll in lives of both mothers and children. The hardest thing would be knowing that their children could be taken away and sold at any time. Mothers often had little time allowed to take care of their children. Slave women were often forced to have children under circumstances that are difficult to describe here.

Why did people think slavery was wrong?

The North did not like the way Whites in the South treated those enslaved. The men, women, and children who were enslaved thought it was wrong because they were separated from their families, forced to work for little to nothing, deprived an education, tormented, humiliated, raped, hung, etc. They were considered property instead of human beings. For the most part, slavery was for field work and cheap labor.
