Just another form of munitions. Fire bombs have been used since ancient times, they are NOT new. One of the most famous cases of fire weapons being used was the bombing of Dresden, which was firebombed during WWII.

As the US continued to spray the Vietnamese with Napalm, many children died along side with other citizens who didn't had anything to do with the war they were not involved in the Vietnam war against the US. Napalm destroyed their crops, their houses and killed thousands of innocent people. This really angered the Vietnamese and they decided to join the Viet Cong against America. As the information leaked to the US media many citizens within America were then against the army.
