In WW2, not a lot of people liked the germans, especially POW's (Prisoners Of War) and prisoners of concentration camp. Hitler made a big mistake by turning around to attack Russia when the germans and the russians had a pact or agreement not to attack each other. I think people were kind of scared about Germany's division from Europe in ww2 because the Germans had a strong military.
