if one were to generalise, one would say that they feared them.
Oblivious?
sad
The French and British V the Germans
The Germans were not very popular. Some people changed their German sounding name to an American one. Other names for things were changed.
bad
People from Germany are called Germans.
Because they were Nazis who tried to kill us in the first place.
In WW2, not a lot of people liked the germans, especially POW's (Prisoners Of War) and prisoners of concentration camp. Hitler made a big mistake by turning around to attack russia when the germans and the russians had a pact or agreement not to attack each other. I think people were kind of scared about Germany's division from Europe in ww2 because the Germans had a strong military.
Initially, the people of Sighet feel a sense of disbelief and indifference towards the Germans, believing that the war will not directly affect them. They dismiss warnings about the Nazis' intentions, viewing the German presence as a temporary inconvenience rather than a serious threat. This underestimation stems from a combination of denial, hope for peace, and a lack of understanding of the dire realities of the Holocaust that would soon unfold. Their complacency ultimately leads to tragic consequences as the situation deteriorates.
I will feel very nervous if I were stopped by the Germans soldiers.
the Germanics were people that first came to Germany and lived there as a civilization and made it into a country as we know today
