we have let slavery continue today because if we stop it, many companies will go down and this fact scares us.

I think this is such a lie. Many people are scared to actually do something about it today that's why slavery is still happeneing out there in the world. Is not cause companies will go down but the only reason is that racism still exists today. Theres many children around the world worked to death. Theres thousands of people suffering right at this moment. IS time for us to do our part in the world and take a step up to this. We cant let this happen to us. FREEDOM AND PEACE is What THE WORLD NEEDS TO STAY EQUAL...

I cannot wholly agree with the answers above, however, I believe people are entitled to honest opinions.

It has been reported that deep in Brazil's Amazon River regions, some slavery still exists. It is up to the government of Brazil to make sure it does not exist there or anywhere in Brazil.

The United Nations must know if slavery still exists and take measures to stop it. The easiest way is to expose the nations that still have it and basically embarrass them to end it.

The other two types of slavery are hard to stop. One is "child labor". This is a form of slavery. The nations where it exists have undoubtedly tried to abolish it. However, in faraway villages and under the direction of their own parents this type of slavery still exists.

The other type of slavery that has been documented in TV documentary programs involves "sex slavery". Young women travel to become dancers in certain countries and soon find out that they are cut off from their families at home and in fact become "forced prostitutes". The nations involved have been exposed yet the slave trade in women continues.
