The original truce happened between the German and English front in Belgium, Ypres. Then it happened again in Ypres 1915(First one 1914) and in and around Champagne, France. Hope this Helps.
Pipes of peace...and a great song too
The modern olympics don't have truce on any way.
During war, there is no time for deployed soldiers to take off. However, on the Western Front there was the 1914 Christmas Truce where both sides agreed to a ceasefire on Christmas day.
A truce was announced before and during each of the Olympic festivals, to allow visitors to travel safely to Olympia. An inscription describing the truce was written on a bronze discus which was displayed at Olympia. During the truce, wars were suspended, armies were prohibited from entering Elis or threatening the Games, and legal disputes and the carrying out of death penalties were forbidden.
Christmas truce happened in 1914.
Typically, the high command on each side disapproved of the Christmas Truce.
