Today we do not know exactly where they crossed. But given the miracles that God did for them (Exodus ch.14), speeding up their travel would have been the least of the miracles.

Read literally, the Book of Exodus says there were 600,000 fighting men, which would probably equate to at least 2.5 million people, including young children, the sick and elderly, and many pregnant women. In addition they seem to have had livestock and other accoutrements. Without some sort of miracle, it should have taken the Hebrews at least a month to cross the Red Sea. In this time, the pursuing Egyptians would have been able to decimate the fleeing Israelites. If there ever was an Exodus from Egypt as described in The Bible, it must have been assisted by a miracle, even if they took far longer than 10 hours.
