This was a Canadian invention by P.L. Robertson in 1908, twenty eight years before the US Phillips screw driver was invented. Early customers included the Ford Motor Company. The design is arguably the beat design, as it is far harder to strip a screw head then the Phillips design. Unfortunately, the US designed Phillips has dominated the US manufacturing market, while the Robertson suffered the same fate as the Canadian Avro Arrow, which was also considered a superior fighter jet in it's time due tompolitical pressures.
