They were both immigrants from Italy. The nativism of the Red Scare, which was taking place at the time, was cause for their persecution for their ideologies ad anarchist hobbies. The Roaring 20's jury gave them an unfair trial due to patriotism and ultraconservatism. I found this on ChaChai.com, posted by Nicole P. Thanks Nicole!

Different religons
Nativism, the late 19th century, was motivated by hostility toward immigrant workers, the need to reduce overcrowding in western states, cultural conflicts with Native American Indians, & the migration of African Americans North. stopped immigration.
The rise of nativism in the 1920s was caused mainly by immigration. the massive influx of "new" immigrants scared most of the population. then after WWI Americans were even more afraid that immigrants from war torn Europe would leave to start new lives in America. they did not want the immigrants to take their jobs. but so many new jobs were being made available in this time period that it was innevitable.

The rise is 2 and the run is 5. The ratio is called the slope, which in this case is 2/5 or 0.4.
They can certainly rise side by side, but it might be difficult to see the Moon in such a case.
Slope is 'rise over run', that is rise divided by run. In this case, that's 12 divided by 6, which equals 2.
