∙ 15y agoThe dropping of the A-bomb ended the war because the Japanese surrendered. Two of their cities had been destroyed and they knew they couldn't fight back while the Americans had the A-bomb. The war in Europe had already finished after the allied invasion of Germany and Hitler's suicide. This meant that only the war in the pacific was still being fought, which was ended months later with the dropping of the A-bomb.
