The difference between the Jamestown government and the Plymouth was that the Jamestown weren't so friendly with the Indians, the men didn't work, disease was spreading among them, and the water they drank was impure. Also they only came with men to Jamestown and then after John Smith came to govern, that's when the ladies finally came and they established a colony.
Jamestown did not live under the rule of being puritans or working together Jamestown believed in being independent searching for gold. also the piligrims had better relatioms with Indians

Permanent colonization of the New World began in 1607 with the English settlement of Jamestown, in what we now call Virginia. From the beginning, Jamestown, which was named after King James I, had its troubles.
The Roanoke settlement was smaller, short-lived, and ultimately unsuccessful compared to Plymouth and Jamestown. Plymouth and Jamestown were more established and enduring colonies that had more success in maintaining their settlements.

Plymouth was the first settlement in Massachusetts.
The Roanoke settlement was established in 1585, before both Jamestown (1607) and Plymouth (1620), but it mysteriously disappeared. Jamestown was the first successful English settlement in America, founded for economic reasons, while Plymouth was founded by the Pilgrims seeking religious freedom. The three settlements were significant in shaping early American history and colonization.

Jamestown was the first settlement in what became Virginia (named in honor of the Virgin Queen, Elizabeth) and Plymouth was the first settlement in what would become the Massachusetts Bay colony.
The first attempt at permanent settlement was in 1587 on Roanoke Island, in what is now North Carolina. It was unsuccessful. The first successful permanent settlement was in Jamestown, Virginia. It was founded in 1607 and suffered some terrible hardships but ultimately it prevailed.
