A group in Congress lead by Henry Clay, known as the "War Hawks" wanted to invade Canada and make it part of the United States. The War Hawks were supported in the West and South. The New England states (Federalists) did not support the War because because they would lose money and trade. Mostly Jeffersonians and agriculture interests supported the commercial reasons for the war.
It made everything turn out bad
It affected the Federalist Party because no one had anything left to do the party

the outcome of the war of 1812 was nationalism , industrialization, internal improvements, western expansion and the decline of federalist party. :) hope this helped :)
The outcome of the War of 1812 weakened the federalists party, but the philosophy of a strong national government was carried on by the War Hawks, who were apart of the republican party. Some of the causes of the war were because of British army's taking workers off American ships to work on theirs. Also because the west believed it was Britain's fault for the Indian attack for giving them guns.

During the War of 1812
Federalist Party, led by its members in New England,
The Federalist Party shrank after 1804 because of internal divisions, opposition to the War of 1812, and the rise of the Democratic-Republican Party led by Thomas Jefferson.
te federalist party
Oh, dude, the Federalist Party totally ghosted after the War of 1812. It was like, "Peace out, we're done here." They just couldn't hang after that whole war thing, so they were like, "We're out, catch you on the flip side."
