Saturn is visible in the night sky with just your eyes, no need for a telescope. It was discovered by ancient people who just looked up at the sky and saw it. no one knows when that first happened, or who first recognized that it was something different from a star.
Scientists saw that Uranus orbit did not obey the law of gravity end two scientists calculated where Neptune would be. A telescope was turned to the exact location and they found it. (The thing i wonder is how would they see it if they can barley see Uranus with the strongest telescope there is?)
It was discoverted by Galleo, and scientists study by using special satellites that can fly by or land on the planet.
Early scientist learned about Venus by studying it with their eyes and later with telescopes. Scientist learned more about the planet by launching probes in the 1960s.

The scientist learn about carbon levels that in the atomosphere about carbon dioxide.
The scientist was Ole Christensen Rømer.
One of the 68 moons in Jupiter was classifed as a planet. Some scientists came to the conclution that vb12 was the 68th moon in Jupiter. As you can see, a large porcion of the scientist were wrong. Not every scientist come to the same conclution.
