Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, However, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania whilst not part of the USSR , wqere tightly controlled by the USSR. Other countries under USSR influence were Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Roumania. They all formed part of a political and trading alliance known as 'Comminterm'. or 'Commecon'. They were separated from the rest of Europe by what Sir Winston Churchill named as the 'Iron Curtain'. All of these countries were controlled by Moscow (USSR). The belief that political involvement can bring about change
The United Kingdom has voted to leave, but has not left yet. That process could take 2 years, as it is a long slow process. It is even possible that they may stay in it. This could be because a change of opinion or political reasons, like Scotland could still block the exit. While the UK as a whole voted to leave, within Scotland a majority voted to stay and they could decide to block the decision when it comes to the process of leaving. So as of now, there are still 28 countries in the European Union. They are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
