hello my name is Haley... from Dawson springs and here is the answer. the titanic was bringing people over from England to work during the industrial revolution ... in fact my great great grandfather help built the titanic and he( before he passed away ) told my mom stories, that she told me, about it and what it was meant for and the only said the the ship was "UNSINKABLE" to get people on it to get them over seas to work... the more trips that the ship make the more the ship staff gets paid. The "UNSINKABLE" ship was just a rumor.
