The world had mixed feelings about it: rage, fear, anger, confusion, surprise, grief, elation, hope, awe, wonder, puzzlement, condemnation, praise, thankfulness. The atom bomb was a brand new thing to the world so they did not totally understand it. Many were relieved when Japan finally ended the war after the bombs were dropped. The soldiers were relieved they would not have to invade Japan and lose their lives or have the war go on longer. They could finally go home.

During 1930s to WW2- Nothing. There was a League of Nations (First version of United Nations, UN) but it was ineffective on handling Japan, Germany and Italy - The Great Powers' problems. Therefore, after WW2, League of Nations had volunteered to dissolve itself and UN was formed. After WW2 but before the End of Cold War- The World (Eastern Europe and other Communist nations did not condemn and encourage it.)condemn the Holocaust and Israel was created in 1948 for the Jews to stay on. However, the Arabs hated it because they had stayed on it for a thousand year which was since during the Roman Empire to now (As in 1940s) and moving in this point of time is very difficult. Hence, there were 6 wars on the Middle East as in 2007 excluding the terrorist organizations attack Israel without a nation to support it. After Cold War- All the countries condemn and European Union had even banned the Nazi logo and anything similar to it. However, India , the origin of Buddhism and Hindu was not in favor because the religion had created this logo way before Nazism was form. The Nazis had slanted into 45 degrees clockwise , copying the Buddhism/Hindu symbol. It was called as Swastika. Nazi Logo: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9c/Nazi_Swastika.svg Buddhism/Hindu Symbol (Nothing to do with Nazis and Holocaust): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1c/Sauwastika.gif This is the difference between the 2 logos. Please copy my link.(No space) Otherwise, you may go Google Search for it. Other than India does not support the European Union idea was not accepted, countries who anti-US and Israel like Iran had been suspecting if the death of Holocaust was exaggerated and they should be disappeared from the World Map(Like before 1948!!) which was not accepted by the International Community.
