During the Yelta conference many deals were made, for example the West agreed to not expand NATO, and also they agreed to not interfere in the pro-communist government. And lastly was to give the Soviet Union money to help them rebuild after WW2, which came to about 7 billion dollars, all of these promises were broken in the future
