what happened was yellowfang gave birth to 3 kits, one was born dead, and the she-cat was fine at first but soon had trouble breathing and died, yellowfang thought that was her punishment for falling in love when she was a medicine cat but her real punishment was not that the she-cats died, but the tom survived.
