The number six fuse controls the rear wiper motor in your 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The number six fuse will be in the first column, fourth from the bottom.
The windshield wiper fuse on a 1993 Jeep Cherokee is located in the fuse box that is located in the engine compartment. Disconnect battery before servicing the fuses in this fuse box on top of the battery.
Dead short in either wiring or wiper motor Disconnect wiring harness to motor and install fuse--if it continue to "blow" problem in wiring to motor -- if it doesn't problem in motor
Look inside the fuse box. The fuse that controls only the wiper motor is #17. It is a 15 Amp fuse. If this is a good fuse and the front wipers are working then the rear wiper motor is probably dead. I hope this helps you. Brad.
The 2001 Jeep Cherokee fuse diagram can be found on the inside cover of the fuse box. The fuse diagram can also be found in the owners manual.
In the fuse box under the driver side dash above the e-brake pedal.
Check the fuse. If the rear wiper fuse is good then it could be a wiring problem. Check the wires to the rear hatch, then check the motor itself.

There is no individual alarm fuse. The alarm is built in with the body computer.
Turn engine off while wipers are in mid swipe. Then you can access it. Depress clip at center of blade and pull down. It will slide right off. Or...go to your nearest Auto Zone / Advanced Auto, when you buy it they will come out and put it on for free.
