There are Great Temples, some many times older than the oldest church. No further comparison is desirable.
There are great places like travelling to visit a guru (mentor) to realise oneself.
There is yoga whereby you travel inside to your own sanctum sanatorium to realise God.

go to church
Normally, never.
To the best of my knowledge the Hindus and the Catholic Church have nothing whatsoever in common in the way of religious rituals or ceremonies. The Catholic Church's rituals and ceremonies are rooted in the ancient Hebrew religion, not in the East.
Hindus go to Hindu Temples to pray.
To prepare for Diwali, Hindus decorate their homes with colorful decorations, lights, and candles. They also dress in fancy clothes, go to church, and celebrate.
A Mandir is a place of worship, i.e. a temple. It is a Hindi word and usually refers to a Hindu place of worship. The mandir houses the idols of the Hindu dieties. They are worshipped and prayers are offered.
For Muslims -Mosque, for Hindus-Mandir, for Christians Church etc. Each religion has different name for its place of worship
Hindus do all the things non-Hindus do and they have all the emotions that non-Hindus have.
Many hindus do have arranged marriages but not all hindus do.
