First of all make sure that the power to the geyser is off, test to make sure. you then need to drain the geyser. make sure that the tap supplying the inlet pipe is turned off, open the valve on the drain cock slowly making sure that the water is falling into the drip tray, open the valve as much as is needed or all the way if possible. This will take anywhere between 30 to 60 minutes to drain. then remove the power cable to the thermostat and or to the element. in some geysers the thermostat will sit next to the element and in others the thermostat will be part of the element. in the latter you will need to remove the thermostat by simply pulling it away from the element. you will now need a geyser spanner to be able to remove the element, in some instances you will need quite a lot of leverage as the elements do tend to sit pretty tight. when the element is lose and out make sure that the rubber seal came off properly as well. you'll need to clean it thouroughly before inserting the new element with its new rubber seal, screw it back into place, ensring that you don't cross the thread as you're doing this and fasten properly, insert the thermostat again and reconnect the power cables. do not switch on the power before the geyser is full otherwise you will burn the element out. turn on the water tap to the geyser and open all the hot water taps in your house. the geyser will be properly filled when the water is flowing from all the taps without any air bubbles. you may now switch on the power.

How electric geyser works?

A electric Geyser has a Element screwed in the side of the inner water container, with the heated side submerged in water, parallel to the element (sometimes center) is a thermostat unit to control the temperature by switching the element off once the desired temperature has been reached. The element itself is made with nichrome wire, which is a resistive wire, When a Electric current is passed through the nichrome wire the resistance of the wire restricts the current causing a pressure of electrons and protons (as water builds pressure in a hose pipe when the end is restricted) and intern creates heat as a byproduct.

Describe entire working principle of geyser?

Geysers work on a principle of converting electrical energy into the heat energy. There is heating element inside the geyser which gets heated. Cold water gets collected into the geyser tank and gets heated to a certain temperature. There is thermostat device, fitted in the geyser, which cuts off the electric supply to the geyser, once the water inside reaches a certain temperature. It helps conserving the electricity. For the convenience of the users, there are two LED lights are given on the below side of the geyser. Conventionally, these are red and green lights. When the element is heating up, red light is lighted and when the element stops working, green light starting emitting. Emission of green light means the water is hot at the maximum temperature allowed by the geyser. Cold water in the geyser come in through a separate inlet and hot water goes out through a separate outlet.

What does geyser mean in algebra?

Geyser in algebra means that you take out algebra, then you put in globe to replace it. then look up geyser, and there it is! It means exploding created drinking fountain!

What are the ratings of electric geyser?

The rating should be in watts and this information will be on the nameplate of the equipment.

How much electricity does a 150 liter geyser use?

It depends on the element size that heats the water. The average 150L geyser uses a 3kW element, which will take about 2.5h to heat the water from cold to 70'C. If you "empty" the geyser twice daily, which is an unlikely maximum, it'll use 15 kWh of electricity.

What are applications of Electrical geysers?

An electrical geyser is a sizable container which heats water using an electrical element, much like the element in a kettle. Unlike a kettle a geyser has a thermal switch that switches the element on and off. This is to control the temperature and control power consumption. A geyser is fitted with valves than control pressure caused by the expansion and possible over heating of the geyser. Over heating or faulty valves can cause a geyser to rupture causing damage or possibly injury (although the later is very unlikely). This is the extent of my knowledge on the subject so if you feel the need to correct or add anything please feel free.
