The automatic door lock switch is located, on your 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier, beneath the shifting column. The switch can be accessed by removing the center console.
A faulty the door lock sensor will cause the door locks to lock and unlock repeatedly. The door lock sensor is located below the dashboard on the drivers side.
On the driver's side, you have to pull open the inside door handle, then press down the automatic lock button as the handle is pulled out.
Replace the door lock actuator/solenoid. They get destroyed with moisture or burned out if someone's leg leans on them for a long period.
The lock on the top of the drivers door acts as the power lock switch for the crv, open (up) and close (down) while in the car. To lock all doors from outside the car hold open inside door handle and push down lock on top of door. All doors should lock. Close door.
Our 2007 Honda Pilot does not have this feature. We manually lock the doors when we are in the car.
Check the side of the dash when you open your drivers side door.
Inside of car, passenger side on the side of the console trim casing. Pull panel off to access door lock fuse.
You should be able to program it by going to the programming mode. If you have the content theft deterent system it must be disarmed. Remove the bcm prgrm fuse from the the instrument panel close the drivers dore turn the ignition key to accessory. press lock on the power door lock switch until there is only one chime and that should turn off the automatic lock and unlock off. two chimes is automatic lock only, three is automatic unlock with the engine off four is automatic unlock in park
On the inside upper frame of the rear passanger door when open there are 5 bronze pegs that make contact with the door when closed, if these become dirty the electrical contact will not lock the rear door. Take fine grade sandpaper or steelwhool and shine them up, close the door and try it again.
