How do I fix this when Windows says a problem has caused the program to stop working correctly and will close the program?

There is no fixing of such problems. You can re-launch the program which was closed, and it is recommended that you contact the program's developer and let them know about the crash, so they may potentially make the software more reliable in future versions.
